DESCRIPTION:
Chemically-adapted blood and an unusual metabolism keep Phoraussi warm on the snowfields of planet Purici. This species lives communally in dep underground burrows, buddled to preserve warmth. They drag their prey deep into the earth before feeding. They prefer to acquire their meat from scources that will not fight back. Quick jaws and sharp eyes allow them to prey upon small, darting creatures that other hunters leave behind.
